Fisher, Jesse Sr. He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, 'My refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust. Psalm 91: 1-2 Age 75, went home to the Lord on August 3, 2013. He was born August 14, 1937 in Marshall, TX to Ozee Fisher, Sr. and Elizabeth McCowan. He was the second to the eldest of five siblings. Jesse was a member of First Baptist Church of West Albuquerque where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher. He served in the United States Army in both the Korean and Vietnam wars. He retired from the Army after 20 years as a Staff Sergeant with medals. He also served at the US Postal Service for 10 years. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Erna F. Fisher. He had four children from a previous marriage, Jesse Fisher, Jr., Carla Nutall, Lee Arthur and Fealice Green; two sisters, Lois Anderson, Brenda J. Carney; numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren and other relatives and loving church family. A Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Friday, August 9, 2013 at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Chapel, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM. A Funeral Service will be held at 9:30 am, Saturday, August 10, 2013 at First Baptist Church of West Albuquerque, 6400 Golf Course Road NW, Albuquerque, NM. Interment to follow at 11:00 am, at Vista Verde Memorial Park, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM.
