Jesse Louis Zaste

Zaste, Jesse Louis Age 56, went to be with our Lord and Savior Tuesday, October 2, 2012. He was born in Ft McClellan, AL on September 6, 1956, to Ernest and Marcella Zaste. He was preceded in death by daughter, Loretta Marquez-Montoya; and brother Pete Zaste. Jesse is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Genevieve (Jenny) Zaste; son, Steven Marquez; daughter Jena Marie Zaste-Burks and husband Jonathan; six grandchildren, Cory Marquez, Jeremy Pedersen, Angel Marquez, Jesse D.T. Zaste, Tamira Burks and Jacquelyn Edwards; brothers Robert Zaste, John Zaste; sisters Anna Fraasch, Barbara Porter, Rosemary Crain, Liz Bail and Cindy Blythe; other numerous relatives and friends. Jesse will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. Jesse graduated from Fremont High School in Oakland, CA, where as a member of the R.O.T.C. he held the rank of Captain, he was awarded several certificates for Sharpshooter/Marksman. Jesse was a member in good standing in the International Laborer''s Union of Northern California for 25 years until he retired in 2003. He also worked for the Bernalillo Public Schools until he retired in 2010. Jesse loved spending time with his beloved family and friends. He was loved and respected by all who knew him. His favorite past-time was working in his yard, his favorite hobby was bowling, where he maintained a 190 average. A Rosary will be recited Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo, NM, where the Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow.
