Jesus Acosta Cortez

Jesus (Jessie) Cortez greeted his Lord on March 15, 2015. The best anyone can say about another, is that it made a difference that person lived. That statement can certainly be said about Jessie. Jessie left a positive mark on this world and will be missed tremendously. He was the type of person everyone aspires to be. His generosity and ability to empathize with others was unsurpassed. Whatever the situation, Jessie could be counted on to immediately jump in to help. So we say goodbye, to our friend and loved one, hoping he is finding a new fishing hole where the fish are big and active. He is survived by his beloved wife Peggy, grandson Joshua, daughter Yolanda, son Jessie, brother Pete, sisters Yvonne, Debra, and Soakie, numerous in-laws, nephews, nieces, cousins, and the friends who meant so much to him. A memorial service is being held at Heights Christian Church in Albuquerque on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be given in Jesus's honor to DAV (Disabled American Veterans).
