Jimmie Lee Jones Jr.

Jimmy Lee Jones Jr, Sgt of U.S. Army (retired), age 68, passed away, April 22, 2024, in Albuquerque, NM. He was born October 31^st, 1955, to his parents Emma Lou (Rudd) and Jimmie Lee Jones in Kaiserslautern, Germany.

He married his wife Shirley on July 13, 1991, in Santa Fe, NM. 

He was preceded in death by his Father, Jimmie Lee Jones. 

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Shirley (Cowell) Jones; his children, Jimmie Jones III and Kenya B. Peachey; mother, Emma Lou (Rudd) Jones; his sisters, Wanda (Jones) Toombs and Cassandra (Jones) Armour; his brothers, Jeffery Jones, Gerald Wayne Jones, Micheal Jones, and Larry Jones; his grandchildren, Stephanie Jones, Alicia Jones, Katherine Jones, Jimmie Jones IV, Jaxx Jones, Elliana Jones, Jasmine Threatts, Jeremy Jefferson Jr., and Jacob Peachey; and many other family members and friends who will all miss him deeply. 

Jimmie entered the U.S. Army in 1975 and he served his country with Honor for 10 years and 1 month until he was honorably discharged. He attained the rank of Sargeant (E-5). 

Jimmie loved flying Radio-Controlled Helicopters, working, or tooling leather, and listening to music. His music interests were Jazz and R&B. 

He will be sorely missed but never forgotten.
