Loving Mother and Grandmother. Joan Diane Catacosinos of Albuquerque, NM, formerly of Midland, MI,  passed away in Albuquerque on Sunday, August 23, 2015 at the age of 81. Joan was born on August 23, 1934 in Loveland, CO to Carlton F. and Elizabeth Cook. A graduate of the University of New Mexico, Joan was a highly talented artist. She was an award-winning weaver, sculptor and painter. Her work adorns the homes of many friends and family. Joan was a member of the Petrol Club of Albuquerque and served in several leadership roles including president. Known as Gran to her four grandchildren, Joan was a generous, loving and devoted grandmother who is dearly missed. Joan is survived by her husband of 57 years, Paul A. Catacosinos; daughter, Lisa Catacosinos of Goodyear, AZ; son, Andrew Catacosinos (Lisa Marie) of Midland, MI; daughter, Diana Galante (Christopher) of Canton, MI; her grandchildren, Nora, Lucas, Karmon and Nolen; her fraternal twin sister Nancy Robinson (Alan) of Apache Creek, NM; her nephew Geordie Robinson (Kristine) of Tulsa, OK; her great-niece Grace and great-nephew Oliver; her sister-in-law Mary Garas of Phoenix, AZ; and her nephew Anthony Garas (Liz) of Scottsdale, AZ. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Wyoming Chapel 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Joan loved her pet cats.
