Joan L. Garner passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2015, after a long battle with COPD. She was preceded in death by her mother Fern Ankerberg; Father Roy Ankerberg; Sister Kay Zito; Daughter Deborah Garner. She is survived by her Son, Danny Kevin Garner and wife Veronica Garner; Daughter, Darnel Max and husband Allan Max; Grandson Daniel Ty Garner and wife Brittany Garner; Granddaughter, Brittney Valdez and husband Mario Valdez; Grandson, Joshua Chavez and Michael Chavez; 3 Great-Grandchildren and one on the way. An open house reception will be held on Monday, April 27, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Daniels Family Funeral Services-Wyoming Sun Room, 7601 Blvd NE Albuquerque, NM. In lieu of flowers donations may be given in Joan's honor to the Albuquerque Rio Grande Zoo, www.cabq.gov/culturalservices/biopark/zoo.
