Joan Elizabeth Lederer

Lederer, Joan Elizabeth Age 81, a resident of Albuquerque since 1958, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2014 in Truth or Consequences, NM. She was born in Newark, NJ on February 5, 1933. Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Marion (Bennett) Patrick; husband, John M. Lederer; brother, Harold Patrick; sister's-in-law, Helen Moore, and Joan Cheek; brother's-in-law, Harold Lederer, Neil McGregor, Bill Cheek, Carroll Hammond and James Moore. Joan is survived by son, Jeffrey Lederer and wife Leslie, of Louisville, KY; daughter, Carol Ruch and husband Scott, of Albuquerque, NM; sister's-in-law, Sheila Patrick, of Lewiston, ME, Betty Jane Hammond, of Gold Canyon, AZ, Mildred McGregor, of Wichita, KS and Helen Lederer, of Rio Rancho, NM. Joan was blessed with 3 grandchildren, Daniel Lederer, Karen Lederer and Alaina Ruch. Alaina and husband Gary Dewitt have two children, Logan Dewittt and Lexi Dewitt. Joan worked many years as a medical secretary and transcriptionist, she also volunteered at the Albuquerque Assistants League. A Graveside Service will be held at 9:45 am on Friday, June 6, 2014 at Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 North Guadalupe Street, Santa Fe, NM 87501.
