JoAnn M. Bakos

Bakos, JoAnn M.
Age 73, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2019.  She was born in Chicago, Il, December 1, 1945, to Ann and Chester Umperovitch.  She graduated from Gage Park High School.  She moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1980 with her family.  In 1997 she moved with her husband Ron to Rockport, Texas.  She worked for Aransas County School district until she retired.  She moved back to Albuquerque in 2012.  She is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years Ron Bakos; parents Ann Paddock, and Chester Umperovitch.  JoAnn is survived by her daughters, Lauri Mills, and Julie Carpenter and her husband Michael Carpenter, Grandchildren; D.J. Mills, and Mark Mills, Jordann Carpenter, Steven Carpenter, Siblings; Chester Umperovitch and wife Donna, Greg Umperovitch and wife Karen, Sister Cheryl O’Connor, Jackie and Ken Bakos (in laws), one of numerous cousins, Mary Moldovan and her husband Dick, and many nieces and nephews.  A Rosary will be recited on Friday, August 2, 2019 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church at 10:00am with Mass to follow at 10:30am.  JoAnn had a heart of gold and was a loving, wife, mother and friend.  She will be greatly missed.
