Joann L. Parsons, age 82, died October 11, 2015. Joann was born September 8, 1933 in Los Angeles, California. She was the daughter of Frank LaVerne Peer and May (Hinds) Peer. She was preceded in death by her daughter Mary Nierenberg, husband Paul, grandson Alan Shober, great-grandson Wyatt Baldinell, and son-in-law Grant Clissold. She is survived by her children: Marty Shober and wife Lynn, Linda Clissold, Steve Shober and wife Donna, John Shober and wife Diane, Ann Reza and husband Robert, Alicia Duffy and husband Shannon, Marlene Kantowski and husband Ray, son-in-law Kurt Nierenberg, 20 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. After Joann retired from Rockwell International, she moved to New Mexico in 1989. Although she was “retired” from her employer, Joann was always “full-time” as a mom. She was totally devoted to her children and grandchildren. Her loving and kind spirit put a smile on anyone who knew her. She was a true example of 1 Corinthians 13:13 Three things will last forever-faith, hope, and love-and the greatest of these is love. Our Mother Joann will be truly missed! Service will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 2:00pm at Daniels Family Funeral Services Sara Rd. Chapel. Entombment to follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park 4310 Sara Rd.
