Joanne G. Petersen

Joanne was born in Dallas Texas on May 6, 1925. She passed away after a long illness. She is survived by her son Richard G. Petersen Sr. and her daughter-in-law Eileen F. Petersen of Sparks, NV, along with her granddaughter; Kathryn E. Petersen of Sparks NV and her grandson Richard G. Petersen Jr, of Chester, VA, his wife Marris L. Petersen and great grandson Edward M. Petersen; also of Chester VA. Joanne had a Masters Degree in Fine Arts from UNM and specialized in sculpture and stained glass. Some of her sculptures were exhibited at the Albuquerque Zoo. Several private homes are fitted with stained glass windows created by her. No memorial service is planned. Per her wishes her cremated remains will be scattered over the Sandia Mountains.
