Age 84, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2015. He was born in El Rito, NM on July 13, 1930, to Juan and Elvira (Archuleta) Avila. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Modesto Avila; sister, Maria Ignacia Gallegos; brother, Albert Avila; and Federica Baldonado. Joe is survived by his sister, Flora Lujan; sister, Viola Herrera and husband Manuel; and brother Isidoro Avila. A Rosary will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at 6:00pm at our Lady of Sorrows 301 S. Camino Del Pueblo Bernalillo, NM 87004. Mass will be held on Wednesday June 3, 2015 at 10:00am at Our Lady of Sorrows. Interment will be at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
