Joe Samuel Baca passed away on February 28, 2010 in Albuquerque, New Mexico he was 55. He was born on April 3, 1954 in Clovis, New Mexico to Nicasio Baca and Manuelita Garcia Baca. Mr. Baca was a United States Army Veteran, serving as a paratrooper attaining the rank of Sergeant. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 49. He worked for B & H locksmith. He enjoyed Elvis, bingo, watching pro-wrestling, Western movies, and was a collector of Pegasus items, but He will best be remembered as a loving Dad and Husband. He is survived by his wife of nineteen years, Kathy Heckler Baca of the family home in Albuquerque. Two sons; Joe Baca Jr. and his wife Elizabeth of Melrose, Minnesota, and David Baca of Albuquerque. Two daughters; Christine Kleve of Plainville, Minnesota, and Denicia Baca-Beichner and her husband Brian of Warren, Pennsylvania. Nine brothers; Nick Baca and his wife Lori of Grants, Ralph Baca and his wife Estella of Grants, Vincent Baca and his friend Bridgette Pena of Albuquerque, Paul Baca of Grants, Wilfred Baca and his wife Carol of Albuquerque, Robert Baca of Albuquerque, Alfred Baca and his wife Kristal of Grants, Ricky Baca of Lubbock, Texas, and Rudy Baca and his wife Mae of Grants. Seven sisters; Margie Gabaldon and her husband Tom of Grants, Kathy Saucedo and her husband James of Gallup, Phyllis Martinez and her husband Louis of Espanola, Patsy Martinez and her husband Larry of Espanola, Dorothy Heckler and her husband David of Los Lunas, Tessie Radcliffe and her husband Ron of Grants, and Tina Pena also of Grants. His in-laws; John and Dee Heckler of Albuquerque. seven grandchildren, forty-nine nephews and nieces, fifty-six great-nephews and nieces, and seven great-great nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents; Nick and Mela Baca, and one brother; Max Baca; and one nephew; Bobby Lee Gabaldon. Pallbearers include; Ron Coleman, Alfred Baca, Robert Baca, Paul Baca, Rudy Baca, and Brian Heckler. Honorary Pallbearers include; Wilfred Baca, Vincent Baca, Ricky Baca, Nick Baca Jr., and Ralph Baca.
