CHAVEZ, Grandpa Joe E., passed away on February 1, 2010 in Albuquerque, New Mexico was very well known for serving the community with his famous frito pie. Joe is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Chavez, his children; Deborah Sanchez and husband Robert, Yvonne Padilla and husband Fred, Diane Ramos and husband Javier all of Albuquerque, Joe E. Chavez, IV and wife Stephanie of Los Alamos, 12 Grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, his brother Paul Chavez and wife Mercy, three sisters; Cecilia Lopez and husband Eddie, Mary Frances Chavez, Shirley Chavez and husband Sam, daughter-in law Lori Chavez, and great aunt Mary Fieseler; grandchildren, Delilah, Latoya, Robert, Trini, Timothy, Elisa, Sariya,Vanessa, Isaiah, Abran, Antonio, Marina and great grandchildren, Estrella, Manuel, Mierelle, and Monique. Joe was a long time volunteer at Adobe Acres Elementary School and Rio Grande High School who loved God, cooking and spending time with his wife, family, friends and grandchildren, he will be greatly missed by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and the entire South Valley Community.
