Joe Duran

Duran, Joe Age 68, beloved husband and son passed away in his home on Friday, April 13, 2012. He was born in Albuquerque, NM on January 2, 1944. He served his country proudly and retired from United States Marine Corps. He loved joking around, being silly, telling jokes and spending time with all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandchild, Leo Duran Jr. and his father Nicholas Duran; mother, Romona (Gaboldon) Blea and step father, Tony Blea. Joe is survived by his loving wife, Dora Duran of Los Lunas, NM; his children, Leo Duran, Ranessa and James Carter, Laurie Nunez, Joey and Rachel Duran; grandchildren, Matthew Duran, Deana Duran, Christopher Duran, Veronica Duran, Christina Duran, Tabitha Nunez, Hailey Nunez, Jakob Nunez, Michael Duran, Anthony Mehl, AnnaLeigha Duran and Autumn Duran; great-grandchildren, Elina Duran, Cynthia Duran, Isaiah Duran, Elias Perea; siblings, Carmen, Josie, Theresa, Ruthie and Patsy; many nieces, nephews cousins and other numerous relatives and friends; he also loved his pet Isbella. Joe will be greatly missed by all his loving family and by those whose hearts he touched. Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Carlisle Chapel, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Carlisle Chapel. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. with full military honors.
