GARCIA- Joe Manuel Garcia, 85, a resident of Rio Rancho was born on February 5th, 1926 in Arboles, CO and passed away on June 16th, 2011 in Albuquerque NM. He is survived by his loving family which includes son, Raymond and wife Bernice Garcia of Los Lunas, NM; daughters, Jeannie and husband Dave Decker of Phoenix, AZ, MaryAnn Garcia of Rio Rancho NM, Kathy and husband Johnny Montano of Albuquerque, NM, Toby and wife Margaret Garcia of Farmington, NM; grandchildren, Jeanette Suniga, Nicole Garcia, Carolee Fields, Natalie Garcia, Stephaine Fields, Lana, Krista & Kaitlyn Garcia, Brandon & Marissa Montano, Joseph Garcia, Isaac Montano; great-grandchildren, Nico, Kyla, Mark, Delaney, Leah, Sarita, Nevea & Bella. He is preceded in death by his parents, Celestino Garcia and Sara Gallegos Garcia; sister, Mary Chavez; brothers, Epimino and Alfred Garcia. He was a veteran of the US Army serving overseas in the Korean War. He was a life time member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was an avid bird watcher and enjoyed nature and traveling. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at 6:00 pm with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 pm at Daniels Family Funeral Home, Sara Road Chapel, 4310 Sara Road SE and Meadowlark Lane Lane, Rio Rancho, NM. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am, Wednesday, June 22, 2011, St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM. Interment with military honors will follow mass at Vista Verde Memorial Park, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho.
