Joe M Valencia

Joe M. Valencia, age 95, passed away on Friday September 18, 2020 in Rio Rancho New Mexico. Joe Valencia was born on April 27,1925 in Glorieta, New Mexico to Eusebio Valencia and Carlota Lucero.

As a teenager, Joe served in the Civil Defense Corps as a fire-watcher and later served in the Marines from 1943 to 1946 during WW II.

Joe married Mary Celia Chacon and they had three children. He was a salesman extraordinaire during his years working for Rich Ford and later Galles Chevorlet.
Joe loved to golf, play pool, poker and darts with friends from the American Legion Post 49.

Joe was preceded in death by: his son Ron Valencia (Rosa), sisters Eufemia, Cleofas, Eliza and Ramona and brothers Abran, Antonio, Ramijio, Sefarino and Maximillano.

Joe is survived by his wife of sixty years, Celia Valencia; son Frank (Lisa); daughters Cindy (Steve) and Peggy (Rich); sister Margarita; grandchildren Logan, Torrin, Nicholas, Chris and Miguel; great grandchild Micah; and his best friend, Joe Anaya.

Private services took place 9/30/2020 at the National Cemetery (Santa Fe).
