A loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed peacefully at home on Sunday, April 9th after a long illness. Dick was born to John and Loretta Brown on February 21, 1939 in Buffalo, New York. Upon graduation from high school, he served in the United States Navy. After he was honorably discharged, Dick attended the University of Buffalo. He married Karen Foulon, also of Buffalo, on June 18, 1960. They were married for 56 happy years. Dick was preceded in death by his Father, Mother and Sister, Alice.
He is survived by his wife, Karen, his son, Richard (Bernadette) of Colorado, daughter Maureen Birdsell (Brian) of Singapore, 6 grandchildren; Victoria, Stephanie and Nicholas Brown and Megan, Abigail and Ian Birdsell and 3 great grandchildren; Vito, Stella and Tamatasi. He will be missed by his 4 sisters-in-law whom always considered him a beloved “Brother”.
A heartfelt thank you to the nurses and support staff of Onpointe Hospice, extended family and friends for all of their loving care and assistance.
