John Daniels

Daniels died March 2, 2011, in Gallup. He was born Dec. 15, 1915, in Churchrock, New Mexico. Daniels was born into the Water’s Edge People Clan and born for the Black Streak of Forest People Clan. Daniels was a weaver and lifelong rancher. Survivors include his sons, Naswood Daniels of Rock Springs, Donald Daniels of Farmington; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren. Daniels was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Daniels; daughters, Pricilla Skeets, Alta Peterson; son, Leonard Daniels, Ben Daniels.
