John Johnnie Droz"" Drozdjibob

DROZDJIBOB- John “Johnnie Droz” Drozdjibob, 80, a resident of Rio Rancho, NM since 1979, passed away January 26, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Marie T. Drozdjibob; sister-in-law, Chris Bauer and husband Randy of Oshkosh, WI; niece, MaryJane Espina and husband John of Sterling Heights, MI; special friends, Tom and Barbara Madrid, Tom and Fawn Stansberry, Joe and Sheila Montano; our coffee group from the Village Inn, Jerry, Betty, Ellen and Donna. John was an entertainer who played the accordion for the Elks Lodge, Italian American Club, American Legion, Rio Rancho Nursing Home, and Chamisa Hills Country Club to name a few. John proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Germany where he was in communications. He also played in the Army Band and a combo band that played at the Officers Club. A Visitation will be held at 3:00 P.M., with a Rosary being recited at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 30, 2011 at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Road Chapel, 4310 Sara Road SE and Meadowlark Lane, Rio Rancho, NM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, January 31, 2011 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Skies Healthcare where John received such wonderful care. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made in John’s name to The Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY, 212-923-4700.
