John W. Falvey
Age 93, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2016. He was born in Springfield, Massachusetts, on May 18, 1922, to Patrick Peter Falvey and Winifred Eilene (Cromely) Falvey. He resided in Albuquerque, NM.

He was preceded in death by his, wife of 66 years Faye, parents; sisters, Patricia, Rosemary and Jean.

John is survived by daughter, Kathleen Susan Falvey of Albuquerque, NM; sons, Edmund Patrick Falvey of Oklahoma City, OK and Michael Anthony Falvey of Tijeras, NM; granddaughter Michelle Lynn Falvey of Dallas, TX; grandson Mark Shell of Oklahoma City, OK.

John served in the Army Air Corps. as a Tech. Sergeant for four years in 1940-1944 during World War II. He was highly decorated to include the following; four Bronze Medals, six oak leaf clusters, 334th bomber squadron, Radio Operator/Mechanical Gunner, five stripes, two overseas bars, European/African/Middle Eastern theatre campaign Ribbons.

He worked for the Federal Aviation Administration for 30 years and was a Instructor at TVI (CNM).

John was Spitz Breeder for four years and Border Collie Breeder for eight. He was a member of NAACP, National Guard, Firefighter volunteer for Torrance County, Disabled American Veterans Commanders Club.

A Graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at McIntosh Cemetery. Reception to follow at The Old Mill Restaurant in Estancia.

In lieu of flowers donations may be given in John's honor to Native Americans-South Dakota School for Orphans, www.stjo.org, Goodwill, www.goodwill.org, Joy Junction, www.joyjunction.org, and Albuquerque Homeless Shelters.
