John Leslie Gardner

John Leslie Gardner, 70 of Albuquerque New Mexico, passed away on September 15, 2017. A native of Austin Texas, he is survived by his wife of 43 years, Deborah Gardner, their son, Brett Gardner, daughter, Megan Haggard (Casey) of Las Cruces, grandchildren, Preston and Holly Haggard, and sister, Martha Bradley (Tim) of Cuero, Texas.  John Graduated from Albuquerque’s Sandia High School in 1965, and from Texas Tech in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. For many years prior to retirement, John was a partner in a civil engineering services firm, Vinyard & Associates. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at the Mountainside Church of Christ, 12300 Indian School Rd. in Albuquerque. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation in John’s memory to the American Cancer Society, or to a charity of your choice.
