Age 90, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2016. He was born in Colorado Springs, CO on October 9, 1925, to Delbert Guy Green and Elsie Marie Lane Green.
John served with the Cadet Coast Guard Academy for 2 years. He spent over 20 years with the Minneapolis Park Board as the Deputy Director.
His interests and hobbies include basket weaving and silversmith. He was a member of the Mediation Alliance, Church of Christ and Marriage Encounter (Executive Couple).
He was preceded in death by his daughter: Judy Lane Green; parents Delbert Guy and Elsie Marie Green; great grandson Gunnar Michael Perry.
John is survived by wife of 70 years, Margie Nell Green; daughters Jerri Parish, Jan Rimer and Julie Perry; sisters Virginia Anderson, Sally Boucher, and Susan Wulf; 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
A family celebration of his life will held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations may be given in John 's honor to (Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep) helping parents cope with loss of baby before/at/after birth <www.nowilaymedownto sleep.org> or Albuquerque Christian Children's Home.
