John (Johnnie) Kelly Valencia

John (Johnnie) Kelly Valencia, 50 passed away unexpectedly September 24, 2021 in Portland, OR. 

John is survived by his wife, Marcie Valencia, who he married 15 years ago on May 12, 2006 at their home in Rio Rancho, NM; son, John Robert Valencia (Kim) ; daughters, Veronica Sandoval (Kyle) and Sabrina Chavez and husband, Raymond; granddaughter, Evelyn Aurora Chavez; moms, Stella Valencia and Kathie Lopez and husband, Al; mother-in-law, Theresa Gurule; sisters, Deseree and Stephanie Valencia; and nephew, Robert Joseph Valencia. He is proceeded in death by his dad, Robert J Valencia and grandma, Lillian Valencia.

John was born on July 19, 1971 in Las Cruces, NM. He was employed by Aeroparts manufacturing for 26 years as a machinist.  

Johnnie was so proud of his kids and he loved his family. He was genuine, truthful, and silly. He loved riding his Harley, being on the softball field and coaching both softball and baseball. He was a die-hard Raiders, Dodgers and Lakers Fan. He loved to grill and have a beer or peach crown and sweet tea with friends and family. He couldn’t wait to meet his granddaughter and was lucky to spend his last days with her.  Johnnie left behind so many memories and funny stories, he will be missed more than words can say.

A viewing will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021 from 5:00 – 6:00 with a celebration of life to follow at 6:00 pm at Daniels Sara Chapel, 4310 Sara Rd. SE Rio Rancho, NM 87124. A reception will follow at American Legion Post 69, 9000 4th St NW Albuquerque, NM 87114.
