John Wesley Kinney, Sr.

John Wesley Kinney, Sr., 52, of Farmington, passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2011, in Albuquerque. He was born June 1, 1958 in Durango, CO., to John F. and Norma M. Kinney. John was employed at several car dealerships in the area for many years. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. John also loved to cook for his family and friends. "Papa John" was a very devoted father and grandfather. John will be dearly missed by his wife and best friend, Olga, as well as his sister, Anna and his brothers. John was preceded in death by his parents, his maternal grandparents, Norman and Ella Carmean; and paternal grandparents, Thomas and Josephine Kinney. He is survived by his wife, Olga; sons, John W. Kinney, Jr., Adam Kinney and Jason Kinney, and their mother, Diana. He is also survived by stepdaughter, Jennifer Gutierrez-Warner; stepson, Alex S. Gutierrez; his brothers and their wives, Norman "Huck" and Mary Kinney, Thomas and Maria Kinney, Douglas and Sandy Kinney and Patrick Kinney; sister, Georgianna and Fred Gallup; and nine grandchildren. A special thanks to San Juan Regional Medical Center, 2nd floor nurses, the Nephrology doctors, DaVita Dialysis Center and ladera Care and Rehab in Albuquerque who took special care of John during his last few months of life.
