John Konitzer

Konitzer, John Jr.
Age 79, passed away to be with the Lord, peacefully at home with his family at his side, Thursday, February 5, 2015. John was an armed forces veteran, serving in both the U.S. Air Force and Army, including two tours of duty in Vietnam. Known to all who met him as charismatic and inspiring others to be honest with integrity. He could light up a room with his personality and humor. He was preceded in death by his son, Francis B. Konitzer; his daughters, Cecilia M. Sanchez and Monica M. Konitzer; and his wife Evangelina R. Konitzer. John is survived by his wife, Diane Konitzer; her children, Joel, Shelley, John and Kayla; his children, John Konitzer III, Kathleen Armijo, Richard Konitzer, and Rita Helak (Dave Romo); grandchildren, Michael Anthony Armijo, Nicholas, John Helak, Jacqueline Nicole Garcia (Jon), and Faith Romo; and numerous great grandchildren. John will always be remembered first as a devoted husband and father. Cremation has taken place, and burial will be a private family ceremony at a future date. A Mass celebration of his life will be on Friday, February 13, 2015 at 9:00am at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Church at 5901 St. Joseph Dr. NW Albuquerque, NM 87120.
