Age 50, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2012. He was born in Salt Lake City, UT on January 25, 1962, to John and Pearl Lewis. His clan is Tl'ogi (Zia Pueblo), born for Ta'neeszahnii (Tangle People). He graduated from Cuba High School in 1979 and obtained technical training in carpentry. He loved fishing, camping, home remodeling, stone sculpturing, watching NFL and NBA games, watching his son play high school sports, watching adventure and action movies, and listening to rock-n-roll music. He was preceded in death by his father, John C. Lewis, Sr., his maternal grandparents and paternal grandparents. John is survived by mother, Pearl E. Lewis of Torreon, NM, son, Kyle J.C. Lewis, son, Allen Lewis, brother, Andrew Lewis, brother, Ron Lewis, sister, Brenda Nolan, sister, Deborah Lewis, and significant other, Alvina Rico. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, July 17, 2012, 10:00 A.M., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Bernalillo, NM, with Bishop Brad Bohn officiating. Interment will follow at the Torreon Mission Cemetery, in Torreon, NM. Casket Bearers will be Andrew Lewis, Ron Lewis, Warren Pemberton, Donald Harold, Dwight Harold, and Anthony Toledo. Honorary Bearers are Kyle J.C. Lewis, Allen Lewis, Tom Antone, and Russell Toledo. In lieu of flowers contributions may be given in John's honor to the family. John's care has been entrusted to:
