John N. Shawn"" Bennett III

BENNETT- John N. “Shawn” Bennett III, beloved son, father, and big brother, age 48 of Albuquerque, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, May 24, 2011. Shawn was born on October 26, 1962, in Stanford, CA and grew up on the Navajo Reservation before moving to Albuquerque at the age of 14. Shawn was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy; and obtained an MBA degree Magna Cum Laude from Anderson School of Business, UNM. He was an avid baseball player; he was an all-star pitcher at Albuquerque Academy, and an expert fly fisherman, under the tutelage of his father. He is survived by his two children, John N. Bennett, IV, Amber N. Bennett; his parents, Dr. and Mrs. John N. Bennett II, Noel Bennett and Russell Betts.; one brother, Brock Bennett, and the mother of his children, Susan Fischer. His children were the light of his life, they, and all his family miss him terribly. Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Fairview Memorial Park, 700 Yale Blvd. SE.
