John Rakestraw

RAKESTRAW - John Rakestraw, 67, his sunset was on November 30, 2009. John was born on November 25, 1942, in Conyers Georgia. He served in the United States Navy, was a twenty-eight year employee of the United States Post Office, a realtor at Camco Realty, and a faithful member of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church. John is survived by his loving devoted wife Jean Rakestraw; his son, Ryan Keith Haggins (Pam); four grandsons, Cristofer Haggins, Arel Haggins, Oscar Babers, and Ryan Babers in San Diego, California; three brothers, Albert Rakestraw, Howard Rakestraw (Betty), in Conyers, Georgia, Robert Rakestraw (Silvia), in Atlanta, Georgia; a sister, Geneva Mathis, in Covington, Georgia; an aunt, Annie Grace Jackson, in Covington, Georgia; five nephews, three nieces, and a host of god-children and great-grand nieces, nephews, and cousins.
