Age 69, passed away Thursday, September 7, 2017. He was born in Chicago, IL on February 18, 1948, to John William Rogers  and Ann Reif . John attended Elmhurst College, in Illinois, where he obtained his degree in Business Administration. John married Margaret Wantland in 1994 In Bulkhead City, AZ. They were married for 23 years. He was Retired from the US Postal Service Supervisor. John loved being outdoors where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, archery. He also enjoyed cooking,working on his 1985 Toyota 4-Runner and watching his favorite baseball team, the Chicago Cubs. John was a member of the Northwest Optimist Club of  Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by his brother, Vincent Rogers; father, John William Rogers; wife, Patricia Rogers; mother Ann Rogers. John  is survived by wife, Margaret Wantland of Rio Rancho, NM; daughter, Elizabeth Serva of Gilbert, AZ; daughter, Rebecca Metzger of Joshua, TX; brother, William Rogers of Jupiter, FL; sister, Kathy Rogers-Niemiec of Ypsilanti, MI; sister, Ann Kennedy of Palatine, IL. and seven grandchildren. Memorial will be held on September 14,2017, at 10:00 am, at Sara Chapel, 4310 Sara Rd.
