John Romero

ROMERO - John Romero, age 74, beloved and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, was called to Eternal Life by the Lord, Sunday, April 19, 2009. He was born on January 8, 1935 in Marquez, NM, and was a resident of Algodones, NM. John retired from the Santa Fe Trail Fright Lines as a Truck Driver after 26 years of services. He enjoyed his Ranch in Mt. Taylor, NM where he expressed the natural cowboy in himself, and which would always spark him to telling stories of the "Good Old Days" and how ranching used to be with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his son Jeffrey; his parents, Macario and Dorella; and a brother Celidonio. John is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Eufelia (Fela) Romero; his children, Macario, and Yolanda; his precious grandchildren, Nathaniel, Brittany, Brianna, Christopher, and Jennie; three great-grandchildren, Alex, Christinana and Isaiah. Also surviving are his sisters, Tillie, Darleen, Marie, and Eva; and other numerous relatives and friends. John will be greatly missed by all. Pall Bearers will be Elias Sanchez, Jeremy Lucero, Nathaniel Trujillo, Lee Sanchez, Sammy Romero, and Leroy Vigil, Jr. Honorary Bearers will be Rudy Vigil and Jessie Ayala.
