John W. Shroyer

Shroyer, John W. John Watts Shroyer, born January 2, 1928, passed late Thursday evening January 26, 2012. John was an Albuquerque resident from 1974-1985. He had lived in Edgewood from 1985 to the present. John married Margaret D. Shroyer on June 2,1951. He lived a life of love, spending 58 years with his loving wife Margaret until her passing on July 29, 2009. With her John enjoyed a beautiful family with three sons, two daughters and several grandchildren. He was a trucker with ABF for fifteen years, a motorcycle rider, father, grandfather, and friend; ever ready with a witty joke or wise piece of advice to pass along. Despite the pain he endured late in life, John maintained his amazing sense of humor and uncommon kindness to the end. He will be missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him. John's spirit has now joined those of his loving wife Margaret, their daughter Johnna, son's Barry and Jeff, and grandson David. John is survived by son Ed Shoyer, daughter Jaynne Horton, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many friends. When John's wife Margaret passed, her services were delayed. Services for both John and Margaret will be on Friday February 3, 2012 at the Valley View Christian Church, 170 St. Rd 344, in Edgewood, NM at 11:00 am. Following services there will be a reception at the Shroyer residence, 80 Church St. E, Edgewood, NM 87015. John's care has been entrusted to:
