Johnathan Edward Hoover

Hoover, Johnathan Edward, Sr. Age 45, beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, friend and soldier, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2013. He was born on June 20, 1967 to Edward Lee and Judith (Ransom) Hoover of Alexandria, VA. Upon graduating from high school, John entered the US Army and served more than 23 years until a service related injury forced him into retirement. During his service, he was an expert Huey helicopter Chief Mechanic for the New Mexico National Guard and greatly enjoyed his job. Most importantly, he was proud and honored to serve our country. John was preceded in death by his father, Edward Lee Hoover; mother, Judith Dolen; and grandfather, Mel Hoover. He is survived by his wife, Debra Hoover, of Rio Rancho, NM; children, Michael Jay Hoover of Durango, CO, Tanya Marie Hoover of Denver, CO, Rose Patricia Deacon, Johnathan Edward Hoover, Jr., Julianna Elisabete Hoover, and William Dalton Hoover all of Rio Rancho, NM; stepmother, Christine Hoover, of Albuquerque, NM; stepfather, Darrel Dolen of Colorado Springs; grandmother, Norma Hoover of Harrisonburg, VA; sisters, Debra Nieukirk and husband, Patrick, of Denver, CO, and Kimberly Dub-Foster and husband, David, of Colorado Springs, CO; one niece and two nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 9:00 AM on Friday, January 18, 2013 at Covenant Christian Church, 6380 Iris Road, Rio Rancho, NM. Interment with full military honors will follow at 12:45 PM at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM.
