Perdue, Johnnie Johnnie Ruth Hendrix Perdue went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 14th. She was born Johnnie Ruth Blanton on March 29, 1922 in Peacock, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband Bob Hendrix and her second husband Byron Perdue as well as her infant daughters, Mary Dean Hendrix and Sharon Ruth Hendrix and her adult daughter Billie Mae Jensen. She was also preceded in death by two step children; Buddy Perdue and Karen Lee Eshom. She is survived by 5 children, 7 step children and countless grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren. She is the first of five siblings to pass away. She is survived by sisters Nell Morrow and Kitty Norris and brothers William Blanton and Elton Blanton. She is the product of generations of faith and has left a legacy of devotion, service and love to family and friends. Her family moved to Pie Town, New Mexico in a covered wagon in 1931 and settled in the last homestead area in US history. She lived in a one room log house that had no running water and she and her siblings rode their horse, Old Bill, to the one room school house. She will be greatly missed. Her words and deeds were an inspiration to all who knew her. She was one of the most faithful and kind hearted persons that you would ever know. Through suffering, pain and heartache as well as love, laughter and joy, she displayed unwavering faith and a gentle heart. A Memorial Service will be at 10 o'clock am, on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Del Norte Baptist Church, 5800 Montgomery Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM.
