Johnny Carreathers

John B. Carreathers was born on 8/29/1936 to Gus and Matilda Carreathers. He was political and community activist, and an ordained deacon. On February 13,2014 he left his children to mourn his passing. John is survived by his children; Angela Faye Cross, Wm. Scott and his wife Candace Carreathers, Kim Anthony, and Brian Carreathers; grandchildren: Sharisa Anthony, Chris Carreathers, Jahkairah Martin, Christian Carreathers, Corbin Carreathers; siblings: Ruby Carreathers, Barbara Williams, Lonnie Carreathers, and Shirley Baty and other family members and friends. A wake will be held on Thursday 2/20/2014 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Daniels Funeral Home on 1100 Coal Ave SE. The funeral will be held at 11 am on Friday 2/21/2014 at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church at 2401 University Blvd SE. Interment will be at Fair View Memorial Park 700 Yale Blvd.
