Jon Shelton Cooper

JON SHELTON COOPER (Shel) beloved son, brother, uncle and friend to many passed away January 29, 2025 at the age of 62. He was born in Stilwater, Oklahoma. He lived in many states until 1979 when he arrived in Albuquerque. 

His love of photography led to a career working and managing Kurts Camera Corral until his retirement. He refused to get a cell phone because they ruined the camera business. One of his great joys was BBQ cookouts for all his friends. Soccer was his game of choice. 

A memorial will be held at Quarter Celtic Brewpub on San Mateo, February 22, 2025 from 2:00pm- 4:00pm. Plan to share love and fun stories with us. He is survived by Ilene (Mother), Geoff (Brother), Paul (Nephew), Jenn and Cindy (Sisters), and Kristin (SNL). His love will remain in our hearts forever.
