Jonathan Miles Campbell lifelong resident of Albuquerque, 62, passed away on Tuesday, November 7th, 2017. He was born September 25th, 1955 to Richard and Caroline Campbell. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Rick, Michael and Scott Campbell and his sister Candice Wakefield and his parents. He is survived by many nieces and nephews and loved by many friends.
Jonathan was a graduate of Sandia High School and Albuquerque TVI. Jonathan spent 23 years as a principal technologist at Sandia National Laboratories. Previously Jonathan worked at Texas Instruments in Dallas as a laser technician. Jonathan was always dedicated to his job. He would arrive early and stay late.
Jonathan loved music, playing music and attending operas, musicals, symphony’s and Broadway shows. He was a long-time benefactor of the performing arts of Popejoy Hall at UNM. He was also a strong supporter of the Symphony and Opera.
Jonathan was dedicated to community and supporting the law enforcement officers of Albuquerque. Jonathan volunteered for many years with the Epilepsy Society of Dallas. He was active with coaching youth baseball and in his later years Jonathan loved a good game of soccer during lunch.
Jonathan was a simple man and lived a quiet life, but he always looked forward to a great bottle of root beer and some good hard candy. He loved his guitars, cd’s and DVD’s. Jonathan had an elaborate music collection but none were as cherished as The Beatles.
Jonathan also loved having his pets. Cosmo was his best friend, when Cosmo passed he got Naira and Daisy Mae. All of his pets were adopted from shelters. Jonathan believed in rescuing animals from shelters and giving them a great life.

The services will be held at Daniels Family funeral home, Wyoming Chapel, 7601 Wyoming Blvd NE Albuquerque, NM on November 18, 2017 at 1:00pm. Jonathan will be laid to rest at the Sunset Memorial Park & Mausoleum at 924 Menaul Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM following the memorial service.
