UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS STAFF SERGEANT, JORDON EMERY FOX, 79, passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer on 05 APR 2024. A proud Vietnam Veteran who served as an 0300 (Sniper) from 22 MAR 1965 to 08 NOV 1968. Due to his heroic actions, he was awarded the following commendations: the Silver Star, Bronze Star, two Purple Hearts, National Defense Service Ribbon, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Gallantry Cross w/Silver Star, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal.
Jordon was a carpenter by trade and took part in constructing the Willis Tower (Sears Tower) in Chicago, IL. You would often find him in his garage tinkering with various project cars, especially Corvettes. For many years he created metal artwork that included garden critters and wind chimes. He loved gardening, hummingbird watching, weapons, and was a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Jordon is in the Who’s Who of Inventors for earning a patent on his specific lamp design. Like his lamps, he lit up the lives of those around him. He was a known prankster, who brought laughter to his family and friends, never missing an opportunity to share his passions with everyone he met.
Jordon is preceded in death by his mother and father, Eloise and Edward Fox, and his beloved dog, Misty. Jordon is survived by the love of his life, Gloria Fox, and his three daughters, Julie Chimento and husband, Brian, Jacquline Cruz and wife, Annette, and Janet Gonzales: his grandchildren Nicholas, Adriana, and Gabriel Chimento: Ron Gonzales and wife, Andrea, and their children, all of Rio Rancho, NM. His brother Edward and Clara Fox; niece and nephew, Debbie and Tim Fox, and children, and his Aunt Lorraine Hanus.
We will dearly miss our Gabo.
