Jose "Guero" Bonilla

JOSE (Quero) LAWRENCE BONILLA passed away peacefully with his son by his side on Thursday, December 1, 2022, in Albuquerque, NM.   He was born in El Paso, Texas on October 7, 1971. He was fondly nicknamed “Guero” from the day he was born for his fair complexion and beautiful light hair.

He was a loving and devoted father and a friend to many. He was employed by Sonic Drive-In and was a manager for 30+ years.

He is survived by his children, son Jose Bonilla II and daughter Stephanie Bonilla.  He is also survived by his siblings, Elizabeth (Bruno) Tabarani, Manual (Araceli) Bonilla, Gloria Bonilla, and Mario Bonilla and several nieces and nephews.  

He will now be reunited with his mother Maria (Bonnie) Marcks and his father Lawrence Bonilla. 

Visitation will be on Monday, December 12, 2022, from 10:00 AM-3:00 PM at Daniels Family Services, 309 Garfield St, Socorro, NM, 87801
