Age 74, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2015. He was born in Pueblo, CO on March 28, 1941, to Gomicindo DeHerrera & Rose Montoya.
Jose worked in the auto parts field for over 35 years, and was recognized as a lead for the last 10 years. His special interests and hobbies include bowling; spending time with his grandchildren, the Denver Broncos, and who ever beat the Cowboys.
Jose was also a driver for the elderly. He picked up and dropped off the elderly for church. He was a member of Amazing Grace Church in Denver, Co.
He was preceded in death by his father Gomicindo DeHerrera; Mother Rose Montoya; Brothers Tommy and Art Montoya.
Jose is survived by wife, Susan DeHerrera; daughter Joy & husband John Adams; son Joseph & wife Rebecca Krajicek; daughter Michelle & husband Michael Armijo; son James & wife Joan DeHerrera; brothers Juan DeHerrera and Rodger Montoya; brother Lawrence Montoya; 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 pets Poquito and J.J.
Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2015,  at  11:00 am, Carlisle Chapel, with a reception to follow.
