Jose Ignacio "Nayo" Garcia

Jose Ignacio "Nayo" Garcia, age 87, passed away at his home in Socorro, NM on March 25, 2021.  He was born in Alamillo, New Mexico on January 1, 1935, to Eduplido and Eloisa Griego.  Ignacio was a successful businessman and former Socorro Magistrate Judge.  He was active in the Democratic Party and the San Miguel Catholic Church.  He is preceded in death by his loving wife Maria “Marcella” Garcia, parents, brother Johnny Garcia, and sisters Lala Fraissinet and Corine Santillanes.  He is survived by his brothers and sister Espidion Garcia, Sesaria “Chala” Peralta, Eddie Garcia and wife Adela, Frank Garcia and wife Gloria, and many nieces and nephews on the Garcia and Montoya side.  Graveside Services will be on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at the San Miguel Catholic Cemetery in Socorro, NM.  The family would like to thank Ambercare.  In lieu of flowers please send donations to Socorro General Hospital Hospice, PO Box 1009, Socorro, NM 87801.  To view information or leave a condolence, please visit www.danielsfuneral.com.  Ignacio’s care has been entrusted to:  Daniels Family Funeral Services, 309 Garfield St., Socorro, NM 87801.
