Romero, Jose O. Sr. JOSE O. ROMERO-Loving Husband, Father and Grandfather died February 22, 2013. He was born in Clovis, NM, January 13, 1936 to Roman Romero and Margarita Baca. He moved to Albuquerque in 1954. He is survived by his wife Rita of 59 years and his children Loretta(Steve) Garcia; Yolanda Aragon; Dolores(Carlos) Gallegos; Gloria(Louis) Medina; Joey(Albinita) Romero; Corina(Anthony) Chavez, 14 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and another on the way. Brothers: Juan, Roman (Stella) and Raymond (Margie) Romero, numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Guadalupe, Eugenio, Leonardo, Francisco; sisters Isabel, Angelina, Vicenta and a great-granddaughter Eva. He was a pillar of strength and the spiritual leader of his family with gentle humility and a very active member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He loved and cherished his faith, wife and family. He was a Retired Teamster. Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers are his grandchildren Vincent (Jen) Garcia, Jason Aragon, Carlos Gallegos, Adam(Colleen) Medina, Daniel(Caitlin) Medina, Dominic & Isaac Romero, Philip & Isaiah Chavez; Jeanette(David) Balderrama, Veronica (Desi) Ortiz, Sarah Gallegos, Michelle (Josh) Casias & Amanda Romero. Visitation and rosary will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos Rd. NW, on Wednesday, February 27; beginning at 6:00 p.m. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral will be Thursday, February 28 at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
