Jose A. Torrez

Torrez, Jose A. Age 82, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2014. He was born on June 13, 1931 to Jose and Estolia (Esparza) Torrez of Sile, NM. He was a very humble man who always put others before himself. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who was generous with his time and efforts. Mr. Torrez was very hardworking and taught his family to do the same. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Blanche (Segura) Torrez, of Sile, NM; six children, Theresa deMondragon from Rio Rancho, NM, Peter Torrez from Washington, DC, Betty Gallegos from Sile, NM, Joe Paiz from Sile, NM, Frieda Castillo from Rio Rancho, NM, Ralph Paiz from Santa Fe, NM; 20 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. The Rosary will be recited at 10:30am by Deacon Joe G. Segura and the Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Santa Barbara Catholic Church in Sile, NM. Pallbearers include Jacob Segura, Joey Segura, Patrick Segura, Keith Paiz, Kevin Paiz, Alex Abeyta, Billy Lucero Jr., Timothy Lucero, Jeremy Gallegos, and Steven Gallegos.
