Josefa (Chavez) Rael

RAEL - Josefa (Chavez) Rael, age 91, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2010. She was born on August 8, 1918 in Pecos, NM and was a resident of Albuquerque. Mrs. Rael enjoyed music, especially Mariachi music, dancing and enjoyed the simple things of life. She was preceded in death a son, J.R. Lopez (may he rest in peace); and grandsons, Joseph Ortega and Orlando Ortega. Mrs. Rael is survived by her loving children, Steffie Lopez, Orlando Lopez and wife Hope, Angie Ashton and husband David, Teresa Sanchez, Mary Lopez, Dorothy Leja and husband David, Maryann Lopez and Joe Rael; 27 grandchildren; and 57 great-grandchildren. Josefa will be greatly missed by all. Casket Bearers will be Joe Rael, Tom Nunn, Anthony Martinez, Jr., Fabian Ortega, Chris Lopez and Gerald Villareal.
