Joseph Benjamin Barela

Barela, Joseph Benjamin Age 37, went with the Lord on Monday, December 2, 2013. He was born in Albuquerque, NM on April 7, 1976, to Beatrice Vallejos. Ben loved his kids and his family. He enjoyed "working out" and loved cartoons he was a "big kid" at heart. He was preceded in death by his father Sixto Torres and brother Sixto "Louie" Torres. Ben is survived by his loving wife Rubiane Barela; mother Beatrice Vallejos; children Benjamin Barela, Gabriealla Barela, Ruben Benavidez and Lenaea Valdez; brother Sonny Barela; grandparents Josie and Willie Vallejos; and numerous extended family members and friends. Ben will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. Rosary to be recited on Friday, December 6, 2013, at 10:15 am with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna Rd NW, Albuquerque. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Benjamin Barela, Gabriealla Barela, Anthony Barela, Sonny Barela, Ernest Trujillo, Gabriel Trujillo, Will Maes and Johnny Barela. Honorary pallbearer will be Ruben Benavidez.
