Age 87, passed away Friday, September 26, 2014. He was born in Christoval , TX on March 6, 1927, to William and Dorothy Binyon. He graduated from Captain High School in 1948 and attended New Mexico State for veterinary studies. Joseph joined the United States Navy in 1945. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Roberta Lee Binyon, Sybil Estell Binyon Cook, Mary Emma Binyon Allen, Jo Nell Binyon Palo; brother, Raymond Russell Binyon. Joseph is survived by his wife of 31 years, Gail Binyon of Albuquerque, NM; sons, Robert E. Binyon of Albuquerque, NM, Russell Z. Binyon of Gold Canyon, AZ, Michael L. Binyon of Albuquerque, NM, Stephen M. Binyon of Albuquerque, NM; step-daughter, Karin L. Cahill of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, six; great-grandchildren, two. Over the years he worked as a rancher in Corona, NM, at Radiation Inc., EG&G Inc., Tri-O and Gelco. Joseph enjoyed traveling, music, being a musician, fishing, his family, football, golf, reading, and coaching Little League. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, October 1, 2014, at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 7601 Wyoming Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM.
