Joseph James DeLorenzo Sr.

Age 57, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 29, 2015.  He waged a long and brave fight against cancer. Joe grew up in Nanuet, New York. He moved to Rio Rancho, New Mexico, in 1976. At the age of 22, he married his devoted wife, Louise and later had three children. Joe was a carpenter and worked for the city of Albuquerque for 27 years, retiring from there as a commercial building inspector. Joe loved to be outdoors. He especially loved to go fishing and hiking, play guitar and spend time with his family. He was a good man of strong faith and would lend anyone a helping hand. He will be greatly missed. Joe was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Frances DeLorenzo and his in-laws Anthony and Louise Epifanio. He is survived by his wife, Louise; his children, Joseph Jr, Melissa and husband, Emilio Maldonado, and Jessica; his grandchildren, Antonio and Cristiano Maldonado; his brothers, Frank Jr. and John and wife Cindy, his sister Rosemarie and husband Tom; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and his loyal dog, Pepper.
