Joseph went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on March 13, 2022. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 32 years, Helen Freebairn.

He is survived by his son Christopher Freebairn, wife Celia and grandson Christopher Jr.; daughter Marguerite Zoltowski, husband Paul and grandsons Paul John Jr. (wife Kila) and Timothy (wife Brooke). Joseph’s lovely four great grandchildren Braddock, Jackson, Austyn and Madison.

Joseph proudly served in the United States Army. He retired from the International Longshoremen’s Association in Brooklyn, New York after working for 31 years as a longshoreman and checker. He was also a master mixologist at The Crazy Corner and The Parakeet Club in Brooklyn, New York.

Joseph was a devoted husband, loving, caring and generous father, grandfather and great grandfather. Joseph had many friends and family member’s in life who loved him dearly. The happy go lucky guy telling stories of his life adventures and was always ready for a good game of gin rummy.  Here on earth he will be truly missed, but we know we will see him again in Heaven.
