Joseph “Joe” Pandolfo born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on August 12, 1924 and a resident of Edgewood, N.M. for the last 41 years, was called to his heavenly home on August 14, 2019. He is survived by his two children, Judy Casey and Michael Pandolfo both of Edgewood, N.M. His second son Andrew Pandolfo preceded him in death in 2005. Also surviving are his sisters, Mary Gillen, Frances Rieumont, and Dorothy Cramer. Grandchildren James Wulff, Janelle Branstetter, Michael Pandolfo Jr. and four great grandchildren Anastasia, Kaitlyn, and Ty Branstetter, and Sterling Pandolfo. Sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and other family members are all scattered throughout the United States.
He served 1943-1946 in the U.S. Army during World War II and received his honorable discharge as a T-4 with the American Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic Pacific Service Medal, and World War II Victory Medal. His hobbies included marksmanship competitions, leather crafts, hunting and fishing. And of course being a papa!
Joe will be greatly missed by his many friends and loved ones.
Graveside Services will be conducted at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on Thursday August 29, 2019 at 2:15 pm.
