Age 95, passed away Saturday, July 22, 2017. He was born in Las Vegas, NM on March 13, 1922.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Angelina Trujillo.
Joseph joined the U.S. Navy in May 1941 and served throughout the Pacific War, including service at Pearl Harbor during the attack of 7 December, 1941, Battle of Midway, Guadacanal and other missions. He retired from the Navy in 1962. He then retired from Sandia Labs after 20 years service.
Joseph is survived by son, Ernest Rudy Trujillo; daughter, Linda Sue Davis and husband Vic; granddaughter, Hypatia M. Powell and husband Michael; grandsons, Justin Trujillo and wife Charisse, Heath J. Sylvester, Shea Sylvester, Dylan S. Sylvester; great-grandsons, Lorne M. Crowder, Joseph A. Crowder, Finnian H. Powell; great-granddaughters, Emma L. Crowder, Alivia G. Trujillo, Jordyn F. Trujillo and Natalee H. Trujillo.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 10:00 am at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 833 Arizona St. SE, Albuquerque.
Burial will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery following the service at 12:45 pm.
Joseph will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
