Josephine "Josie" Garcia

Josephine "Josie" Garcia, age 90, a longtime resident of Albuquerque passed away at her home on November 23, 2023, surrounded by family and loved ones. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Annabell Myers; son, Robert Patrick Garcia; daughter Virginia Coffman (husband, John Coffman); four grandchildren: Vanessa Sprunk, Sophia Bottoms (husband Dashiell Beardsley), Lester Bottoms, and Olivia Garcia; three great grandchildren: Natasha Sprunk, Joseph (JT) Sprunk, and Avalon Beardsley; four siblings from Belen, NM; Bernadette Torres (husband Ernest Torres), Francis Jaramillo, Bertha Aragon and Eddie Aragon. She is preceded in death by her parents Manuel and Ramona Aragon; her husband of 58 years, Joe Lester Garcia; her son, Henry David Garcia; her siblings: Leandro Aragon, Oralia (Lala) Griego, Lucille Martinez, Sally Tanuz, Isabell Bustamante, and Leo Aragon. The most important thing in Josie’s life was family. Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her siblings, in-laws, nieces, and nephews. Interment will be held at Vista Verde Memorial Park with a private graveside service.  In lieu of flowers, the family request a Mass offering at your respective Catholic Church.
